|Being gadget nerds and parents of young children, not necessarily in that order, compelled us to create Happi Papi. After buying games and apps for our kids to play on the iPhone and iPad, we realized that today’s tech savvy toddlers deserved better apps than currently available. Neither the kids, nor us parents, liked the fact that most kids apps were full of ads and links out of the game. As experienced game developers we understood that these “annoyances” were important extra revenue streams for the app makers but we still thought it possible to create kid friendly apps in a profitable way.||Thus, we created Happi Papi with the promise to never use ads, confusing links or in-app purchases. On top of that, all our games will be both fun and educational and always so easy to understand that no instructions are necessary. Your child will be able to jump right in and start playing on its own.|
Happi Papi was founded in 2011 by Jens Ode and Patrick Larsson with invaluable help, insights and encouragement from our wives Åsa and Alexandra.
|Jens Ode– As the son of an artist, Jens definitely has an artistic vein. But since he also has a logical that would make a Vulcan proud, he prefers to express himself using a computer instead of the more traditional pencil and paper. For the last 10 years, Jens has worked in web development and digital marketing supplying hundreds of projects with both creative artistry, hard core programming and sound business strategy. Jens and Patrick met when they joined forces in WannaPlay Productions, Europe’s first DVD-game studio.|
|Patrick Larsson– More or less self employed ever since college, Patrick is an entrepreneur to the core. Unlike Jens, Patrick doesn’t have an artist’s touch to express his creativity. Instead he uses business ideas to do that. Patrick also has a background in web and game development. He built his first website in 1995, years before the Internet Explorer web browser was invented. Ever since then, Patrick has gravitated towards new technology. Last decade Patrick spent developing major DVD-games like the Idol and Planet Earth brands. The decade to come surely belongs to apps.|
